PANDA OFFROAD GAMES

the weekend of VERO FUORISTRADA

for your PANDA 4x4

Faith, tell us what Panda OffRoad Games is:

Differenziale posteriore a bloccaggio automatico per Fiat Panda 141

But what is Panda Offroad Games?
It's a TRUE OFF-ROAD weekend to be tackled using a roadbook. Dedicated to off-road and open-space enthusiasts, strictly non-competitive open only to Fiat Panda 4 × 4 owners, it is an event that aims to organize "off-road trips" in contact with nature, in full respect of flora and fauna. of the areas visited aboard your Panda 4 × 4, the routes are designed to have the least possible number of transfers on asphalt .

Make you live the experience of a real Dakar driver

It is an event to entertain you with your Panda 4 × 4 in which, depending on the area where it is organized and the time of year, the route can be difficult, in some places very steep, bumpy, steep and in some places muddy, in others very muddy but always safe for you and your "pandino", we always want to guide you with a smile on your face. This is a real off-road vehicle but don't be intimidated, the atmosphere is fantastic, everyone is always ready to help their teammates in difficulty and team spirit is king.

Path

There are two different routes, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, the distance varies from the difficulty of the track and from the notes, approximately it is 200 km (100 km per day) for 70-80% off-road , we try to limit the possibility of having your wheels put on asphalt. For this reason , the route is designed to avoid unnecessary and boring transfers . The route on Saturday is different from that on Sunday.
The route winds between Monferrato and Langhe and is studied, built and verified in the months preceding the event, it is then checked and cleaned 3 days before the event to verify that all sections are passable. The routes are created and checked while driving our Panda 4 × 4.

Support

We do not leave anyone on foot for us it is essential that you have fun in complete safety , for this reason we have the Panda Angels, so we have jokingly nicknamed the off-road experts positioned in the points that could be more difficult on the route, each off-road vehicle is equipped with a winch . The Panda Angels are members of the historic Asti Team 4 × 4 and / or FiF instructors. We also have a vehicle that acts as a “broom”, passing over the entire route as the last machine to further verify any problems with the crews.
Furthermore, among the vehicles supporting the event, we have a Dodge Ram equipped with a car transport trolley which, in case of need, will transport your car to the starting point.

Safety

Tires : We recommend that you have knobby tires, as they are necessary to make the driving experience better for you and for the other participants. Some sections of the route in case of rain may have mud. Having off-road knobby tires allows you to move more freely. In the case of a parc fermé and / or bivouac you can replace the off-road tires (mounted on another set of rims) on the morning of departure so that you can travel on the road with normal tires.

Crickets and strop : We ask you to equip yourself with a mini safety kit with which in case of difficulty you can afford to pull someone out or have someone pull you out by some of the participants and \ or the Panda Angels. Shackles or hooks of adequate capacity and fabric strop (chains, cables and / or wire ropes are prohibited for obvious safety reasons).

Roadbook and navigation

We deliver to your crew a roadbook on Saturday morning and one on Sunday morning, a roadbook that your navigator will have to use to guide you while driving, the morning before departure we make a briefing in which we explain all the notes that make it up. If you want to get an idea of what a roadbook is, we have made a video in which we explain how to use it: click here
In combination with the roadbook you will have to download a free app (the same app does not exist on both platforms) which is used to measure the distances between the notes, from our experience among the free apps we recommend:

iPhone: Rally TripMeter
Android: GPSTrip

Award ceremony

We have studied the path to make you have fun with your Panda 4 × 4 and for this reason we want to avoid that you are under pressure and in trouble to get to the end as soon as possible. We'd rather know you with a 72-tooth smile as you are passing on a series of twists, rather than holding on to the wheel trying to jump from one note to another as quickly as possible. For this reason, along the way you will find QR codes (large enough not to get you off the Panda) framed the code, you will have to open the link and enter your "race number" and / or a question that we will have prepared. If you are regular in your travel times by answering all the questions you will be able to participate in the awards ceremony.
On Sunday at the end of the event there will be the award ceremony for the crews who have participated in the complete weekend.

Hours and lunches

We ask you to be as punctual as possible, arrival at the meeting is scheduled for 9.30 am (both Saturday and Sunday) in order to carry out the registration procedures, delivery of the race package and brief on the related roadbook. On your panda you can travel in full food subsistence but if you want we offer you the PANDABOX, that is to have 2 lunch bags (one on Saturday and one on Sunday) containing: 2 sandwiches, 2 bottles of water, snacks and / or sweets. Sandwiches are made with fresh bread on both Saturday and Sunday. For this reason we ask you in advance for your choice, you will also have to report any food intolerances.
The trip ends on Saturday for dinner and on Sunday around mid / late afternoon, followed by the award ceremony.

Dinner & Overnight

Saturday evening is the arrival of the first day, we all sit down together at the table and tell each other about the day just passed. Good food, good wine, great company and live music.

For overnight stays we always contact the locations closest to the event to request a discounted price for our crews.

FedeGamba

If you have made it to the end of this page and are rightly wondering, as we have done several times, why we couldn't organize a simple off-road caravan ride with quite a few refreshment points in between, the answer is: Panda Offroad Games from an idea of FedeGamba . This nice man pictured here as a traffic auxiliary or a man pointing in the direction of his destiny: “mud, sweat and twist” we could say. He has collected numerous experiences in rallyraid, Camel Trophy in 1989, DAKAR 2011, 2013 and 2014, Pharaons 2001 and 2004, Albania 2011, while numerous trips to African land always with off-road vehicles. In 2014 he set off on a quad bike trip which later became the largest off-road event in Italy 6500 km from north to south and back.

So in a day of apparent apathy he got on his pandino heading for dirt roads and while driving he said to himself: Enough gps and maps, the roadbook will be the navigation tool.
